Sigh.  Must be the full moon...

Ever wonder about the relative merits of using an HP printer utility to
print to a non-HP print server?  It can be done, but not with the Netgear
PS110.

You have 3ea choices.
1.  You can butcher the HPNP scripts in accordance with:
How do I configure the HP JetDirect EX Plus3 Print
        Server to use HPNP?
        http://aplawrence.com/cgi-bin/ta.pl?105327
However, instead of using ports 9100 and 9101, try using 4010 and 4020.  I
haven't bothered to actually try this so you get to learn by destroying.
See:
        http://www.cruzio.com/~jeffl/sco/lp/printservers.htm
for a shopping list of port numbers and what ports are used by HP print
servers.

2.  Use lpr/lpd to print the PS110.  SCO lpr/lpd is rather buggy but will
work if you don't bury it in zillions of small files at once.  See:
        http://aplawrence.com/cgi-bin/ta.pl?104997
for the general idea.  The Netgear lpr queue names are buried in the
"Technical Info" PDF document on their web pile.

3.  Use Netcat.  See:
        http://www.cruzio.com/~jeffl/sco/lp/netgear.htm
for my setup instructions for a Netgear PS104.  Just add the 2nd printer
port to /etc/printers and it should work.

For obvious reasons, I prefer choice #3.

My voice mail suddenly gave me a pile of deleted messages - causing me confusion and stress as I thought things I fixed were broken again.
