PROBLEM: Where can I find drivers for new network cards that I want to
install on my SCO OpenServer system? If a driver for a supported
card is revised, where can I find the revised driver? I have
heard that there will be no more releases of the Advanced
Hardware Supplement (AHS).

PROBLEM: I am using mmdf(ADM) as my mail transport, and I noticed that
when I send an email containing 8-bit characters, for example,
German special characters, it appears to be corrupted when it
is received. All the special characters have been replaced by
strings similar to "=C4".

PROBLEM: When booting the dependent node using SCO UnixWare 7 NonStop Clusters
Dependent Node Boot Diskettes, I enter diskette 2 when prompted. I
then enter the applicable license information when prompted. When I
exit the license manager, the system attempts to do the Cross-node
mirror of the local disk; however, this step fails with these errors:
NSCInstall:INFO:Ready to set up local disks and filesystems
NSCInstall:INFO:Setting up local disk as cross-node mirrored failover
root
NSCInstall:INFO:Beginning root mirror to n2c0b0t0d0s0. This may take
a long time. Please wait.
/etc/vx/bin/vxrootmir: Disk n2rootdisk not found in configuration.
NSCInstall:ERROR:Couldn't mirror n2c0b0t0d0s0 at n2rootdisk
NSCInstall:ERROR:Cross-node mirror setup failed!
UX:umount:WARNING: /stand/2 not in mnttab
UX:umount:ERROR: /stand/2 no such file or directory
NSCInstall:INFO:Dependent Node Setup is Complete
NSCInstall:INFO:This node must be rebooted before it can rejoin the
cluster
NSCInstall:INFO:Ready to reboot
Please remember to remove the dependent node diskette
NSCInstall:INFO:Hit Enter to reboot -
The console screen on the root node at the time the above errors
are encountered displays this message:
vxvm: vxconfigd: WARNING: error
autoconfiguring node2 devices: system error occurred in the client.
This additional error has also been reported in conjunction with
the above listed errors:
Disk device n2c0b0t0d0 failed, error: ux: disk setup error no active
partition in disk partition table.

PROBLEM: In UnixWare 7.1.1, a line beginning with:
descr
is missing from:
/etc/netmgt/snmpd.conf
which is necessary for some Management Information Base (MIB)
utilities. Consequently, whenever an snmp management station
performs snmp-get on the MIB variable mib-2.system.sysDescr,
the snmpd agent responds with the string "Generic SNMPD Version
9.4.0.3" instead of "SCO UnixWare 7.1.1".

PROBLEM: It is not possible to install SCO OpenServer Release 5.0.5 on some
Toshiba portable computers. When booting from the installation

successfully, but are followed by the error message:
Starting Initial Load from: Floppy Disk

while getting fs type
It is not possible to proceed any further with the installation.

PROBLEM: During an initial UnixWare 7.1.1 install, or when using the
mouseadmin(1) utility, if I select bus mouse as the desired mouse
type for my system, the subsequent detection will not work, and
consequently, I will not have a mouse available on the system.
However, when I use UnixWare 7.1.0, my system works correctly.
