How do I mount a CDROM?

Of course you've already run "mkdev cdrom", relinked the kernel and rebooted.

In most cases, you can just do:

 mount -r /dev/cd0 /mnt

You may want to add:

 mount -o lower -r /dev/cd0 /mnt

To avoid getting everything in UPPER CASE.

If you get "No such device", you have not correctly identified the device. Try "sconf -v" if it's SCSI; if IDE you are probably confused as to it being master or slave or whether it's primary or secondary. DO NOT assume that just because your system installed from CD that it now has a clue where to look- it does not.
